B.S. Physiology - University of Colorado ​

Marissa graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology, but soon after discovered her passion for the ocean after spending years by the sea in Australia and Hawaii. She brings a background in creative strategy, sales, and community engagement across outdoor and tech industries. She is passionate about creating work that captivates, inspires action, and motivates meaningful change.

Marissa can be found freediving and scuba diving across the Hawaiian islands, traveling to French Polynesia for whale season, or championing causes that protect the open ocean, her second home. She aims to inspire others to connect with the planet, recognize their impact, and take action to protect it. She’s excited to bring these skills to HURC to help share the beauty and importance of Hawaii’s marine ecosystems and its marine life.
